Meet The Maker

Meet Lisa, the face (and paint covered hands) behind A Twist of Somerset. A professional upcycler, specialising in painted kitchens, furniture and bespoke lighting.

The business was founded in 2017 and is run from her home workshop in the village of Nether Stowey, at the foot of the Quantock Hills, Somerset.

Lisa has exhibited, demonstrated and been part of the ‘Ask An Expert’ panel at Grand Designs Live and her work has been recognised by the press, Dragons’ Den’s Theo Paphitis and Jacqueline Gold, who championed female led businesses. She is an Elite Level Master Upcycler with The House of Upcycling and an Associate Member of the British Institute of Interior Design.

Lisa understands that your home is an expression of your personal taste. That’s why she offers expertly hand painted finishes that add character and beauty to your living space.

Whether you’re looking to revitalise a worn out chest of drawers, update your kitchen cabinets, or completely transform a piece of furniture, she is able to bring your vision to life. From classic and elegant to bold and contemporary, she offers a wide range of styles, colours, and techniques to suit your individual taste and interior design preferences.
